Suggest a video editing software...

Hey guys,

 

I am searching for a better video editing software than that Camtasia studio I used before...It is mostly for gaming, so I do want a big library of effects and 3D features. 

Now for the recording, I decided that Nvidia's ShadowPlay should be enough good to record a gameplay at 1440p at about 50-60 FPS. I don't really want astronomical sizes from other editing software, i just wanna basically to import it and edit it.

 

It saw those 2 are kind of the top ones rated: corel videostudio pro x7 and the Sony Vegas(which is a bit too expensive I guess). I want something that works well and is strait forward to use.

Sony Movie Studio Platinum Suite (comes with a sound editing software) is only $30 on amazon and has everything you want

At most like $60. I just want something friendly use. I am looking to do a lot of cut scenes with music...

the platinum suite is great then. comes with like 50+ free songs you can use and it's very simple.

Sony vegas (i use pro, but platinum should work if you want), very simple, very powerful, premier is better but thats a yearly/monthly payment, and more complex to use..

eh, i thought that was same as pro, i have that one,

look at chart it tells what you get with each version.

lifetime licence btw. 

 

you could just get pro edit, then upgrade later if you want, but edit should work, you would just need to find roality free music elsw

Ok well looks like i would just pick one out and do a trial... that would be best. Is Vegas Pro 13 user friendly?

Just tell me if the ShadowPlay is a good idea to just use for recording, or should I use Vegas Pro 13? Can it record in game?

It's just that with ShadowPlay, reviewers said the performance hit is minimal that's why i would use that...

any res, any bitrate, it can all by cutomized, i Recomend usng .wmv , and 1.0 pixel aspect ratio. and best rendering quality.

Just one more question. Is it possible to make a frame around a video? I will just show you an example on a pp screen shot:

 

Note this is an empty picture with red frame around it. Let's imagine I want to make my video really creepy on some intensive scenes by adding a frame like this (or a frame with red/blue/green fire/electricity or any kind of other effect). Is this possible?
