Asus X99 Motherboards?

What are the differences between the Asus X99-A, X99-DELUXE, and X99-PRO motherboards? They all have very different prices, but I can't figure out why...?

Different prices and not worth what you do have to pay.

But then why does the X99-PRO have better specs and cost significantly less?

You can use the Asus website to compare motherboards. Go on this page and tick the box for "X99" (under chipset in the left pane):

http://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/Intel_Platform_Products/

You can then tick the "Add to comparison list" under the motherboards you want to compare. It's a little clunky, but for some reason they don't have permalinks to compare lists.

This article on TweakTown may also help you:

Best of luck :)

Asus uses the same naming convention for all their boards. From what I remember, the -A series are the simplest of the boards. They deliver all the basic features that people need, plus a few bells and whistles, plus overclock ready.

Git Gud.
