Tablet to read adobe digital edition ebooks

chpoit

Hi,

My mother recently came to me asking for a tablet to read ebooks from the library and told me she really liked my uncle's kindle.

The thing is, I did some research and I found that the library books are DRM encrypted and locked to adobe digital edition and bluefire reader. I also found that said reader was available for the kindle fire, android and IOS.

She currently has a samsung windows 8 tablet, the super wide and not too tall ones, that she finds too big and too heavy to read on.

So, what tablet has a screen that looks like the normal kindle screen and is good for reading for a long period. I was personally thinking of the nexus 7 which has a comfortable size, but since the kindle fire has the bluefire reader I was wondering whether or not the screen was closer to the original kindle than the nexus 7 (which is not close at all) or not.

Also, locked epubs, do you need a constant Internet connection to read them or can you simply read them anywhere once they have been downloaded?

Thanks a lot.

Nexus 7, Dell Venue 8, Samsung Tab(s).

And I believe you can download them and not require constant internet access.
