Problem with 99.9% GPU.

I just started to get into folding but it seems that my work unit for my gpu is stuck at 99.9% and says ETA 1 second, but it is stuck there. I already checked the FAQ and it said it was something related to not being able to connect to the server, but I did not find anything like that in the log files.

Perhaps the server went down and you need to retry in a bit? Based on what you've said, I'm assuming you've tried troubleshooting it from the information given in the FAQ section of the subforum, so try holding on for a while or restarting your computer to see if that helps. PS- Correct me if I'm wrong please (I'm a bit new myself) but does 69% mean that it's completed only 69% of the WU [see "spoiler"]. If that's the case, try restarting you F@H client [shut it from the task manager] and pressing the folding button thereafter.

this is something that can happen if the wu is incorrectly paused or interrupted, it can get stuck like that without actually being at 99% at all. 

Try to pause the slot, wait for abit, close the client completely, restart the client and resume the wu(unpause), that should do the trick and it will likely restart from 69% where it actually is.

give us a call if that doesn't work, you might have to dump the wu, but i really don't think that will be necessary.

Yeah I'm at my work computer right now so I can't do much at the moment. I did happen to restart it before I left and it started up at 31%. Problem is I did this a couple of days ago as well and it just ended up at 99.9% again. I have it running at home right now so I guess we will just have to wait and see.

If worse comes to worse and this keeps happening, may be a bad WU and you will need to delete it.

Going abit off topic to something you said in another thread about folding on 600+ series for nvida gpu's.

Really? i would have assumed 500 series is still well within support. Plenty of people have older gpu's.

And while not top notch 500 series still isn't half bad.

I think Nvidia side the lowest now is 400 series and AMD side the lowest is 6000 series... maybe that is where I pulled the 600 from?
