Max is 2,500, also trying to avoid custom built laptops and rather be backed by a bigger name especially with laptops.

I would never buy Asus again since it had horrible customer support. The Dell is not bad but since you are getting more RAM and SSD space on the Mac that beats it for me (Also not a fan of the touch screen flip design). Depending on how much the X7 Pro is which is likely to be very expensive I would get it but looking at what the Retail price is for the lowest end model the MacBook Pro is the best value for money for me.

Edit: All of the laptop's are great it just that Customer support is a key thing for me. I also just prefer OS X for work since it syncs with all of my apple devices.

I'd go for the MacBook Pro, especially if you can step up to the 15" model.

See I've never had bad customer support from Asus, so that may just be a bad time you contacted them. I've never used OSX really but I have an Ipad and Iphone

That is true the style is untouched, simplistic - but I do love the Asus G series.

Took Asus over 3 months to handle a simple Tablet RMA. And then another 3 weeks on my Asus Laptop.

I had an RMA done within the week, no idea what happened. It was a while ago so I can not talk about the present. Every customer service form any company has problems here and there.

I personally would wait for broadwell, but if you want it now the aorus x7 sli 970s or the asus rog w/ 980 if you dont mind the bulkiness look like your best options

The aorus x3 is also a great option (especially compared to the 13" mac), however uses an 870 instead of a 970, which is a bummer
