H440 and Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X oc

da Maia

I am in a dilemma, I got this system right now:

Asus z97-pro

Core I-5 4690 (with noctua NH-U9B se)

Sapphire R9 290 Tri-X oc

2 x 4gb 1600mhz

CM g750m psu

and I got all this mounted in a Cooler Master n400 with 4 fans cooling everything.

The thing is now, that I got money again, I want to replace the case because, even tho it looks nice and cools everything well I got some issues with it.

I just love the way the NZXT H440 looks and I think it would suit me well but I am afraid that my gpu will heat up more than it does now and, in my head, it doesn't make sense to switch to a new case if it will be worse in the long run to my components health just because of looks and utility.

So, am I being over-concerned about the temperatures my GPU will be generating? Or are my concerns legit?

I am not going overclocks or for liquid cooling so it will be all air cooled.

I game and do some photo and video editing and, so far, the top temperature i saw on my gpu was 67 degrees Celsius and on cpu it was in the 50's mark and it was once after some hours of playing. I am pretty happy with that since I want it to last some years at least.

I am looking forward for the In-Win 703 and 707 but i think it will still be a couple of months till they come out. They seem to combine the looks of the H440 with better cooling.

If I could combine looks, good air cooling (especially for my GPU), low noise, good cable management, a dust-free case and a not so big budget it would be perfect! The H440 seems to have it all, except for good cooling.

Please all opinions, suggestion would be awesome. I been looking at other cases that seem to offer all the functionality and great cooling (like obsidian 450d, the Enthoo Pro, Arc Midi R2 and even the Carbide 500R) but i can't seem to get over the looks of a fully assembled H440 lol. It just looks so clean and amazing.

Thank you all in advance

The H440 has decent airflow considering it has 3 intake and one exhaust fan. You can add some fans from your old case if you want even more airflow but I doubt youll need it.

Thank you for your quick responses!

So you think I will not see an increase in temperatures? I know it has triple in-take fans but the air entrance is very restricted.

Also i read that dual 140mm entrance works better than the triple 120mm, do you have an opinion on that?

Thank you again
