What would happen IF....

Let's say intel decides to launch and unlocked I5 at 160 €, What would the damage to AMD be and how well would it sell? :D

It would probably sell very well. But it would need to be in the $150 range to really concern AMD.

Let's assume you could find it at 155 eur, no less

But then when you think about it, it's going to cannibalize sales of the 4690K. Since it's going to be a Quad-Core, based on Haswell, and unlocked, that's pretty much a 4690K, and would deliver similar performance. They would need to nerf it somehow so that it doesn't make the 4690K useless.

Knowing Intel's pricing, it's unlikely to happen at launch SRP...

I'd like to see one personally... Especially if it'll be compatible with a Z97/H97 board...

It would still apply, both the 5670K and whatever the lower unlocked i5 would be, it's still based on the same architecture, and both have 4 cores, so it would deliver pretty identical performance to the 5670K, but at a lower price, this rendering the 5670K useless. See my point?

Yea, that's the only way I could see it happening, if the outright released the 5670K at $150.
