Looking for a gaming laptop.

jslane21

To start off, I already have a nice desktop but my brother and I are sharing it and the darn thing just takes up too much room. If I were to build another one it would have to go in my closet "its a walk in closet with decent space but it will get hot very quickly) and that does not sound enjoyable to me. I'm looking for a laptop within the 1650-1800$ range that can play games such as the whole Arma franchise including Dayz and battlefield 4. I would like to be able to play it at decent video quality for about 2-3hr sessions without heat issues, I want something with an i7 and a newer mgpu like the 800 or 900 series though an i5 is acceptable if it is up to the task. Some of the models I have looked as are the MSI GS Ghosts and the Asus assortments. As for storage, I don't need an ssd, Its not really important to my game play all-though it would be nice if there is one in-budget,

The aorus are a little bit out of budget coming in at around 2300, I found an msi with a gtx 970m no ssd and a 1tb HDD, it is relatively thin so cooling might be an issue.

MSI, I've got one and I know plenty of people with Asus. MSI trumps them every time (when it comes to laptops).
