ASUS vx238 monitor calibration

Go to solution Solved by STRMfrmXMN,

This is the first monitor I've used that is not a built in laptop screen, and i would like to know if anyone has any tips on calibrating it for better performance in general. More specifically i am having a problem with moving lines on white and light colored sections of the screen, which would be nice to get rid of if possible.

i am currently running it through my slow asus laptop through a vgh cable, which could be the issue, but as i have said, i have very little experience with this sort of thing.

Make sure that the monitor is set in "game mode" and you should have a slightly faster connection, although you're in VGA so I don't know if there is any way to help you :P

I don't think there's a lot you really need to do... The white lines thing isn't something that's really in my realm of knowledge.

If you can, change it to an Srgb, or equivalent mode. Should be fine.

i tried this, and it made the screen dimmer, but did not improve the lines

Cool, but what was the second thing of "both" things you did? Was it escaping VGA :P?
