Tactical shooters.

I've started to play America's army proving grounds. And I really enjoy it so I'm looking for a good tactical first person shooters. I've seen arma but don't feel like paying 60$ as it just doesn't suite me. and I am highly considering insurgency. Are there any good tactical shooters out there still?

I've been playing Insurgency for a while now.. It might be a bit difficult to get used to, but I've found the gameplay to be very rewarding once you do.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

The new one...... maybe...... probably not, but it this point we cant really count on any good games from nearly an publisher. It makes me very sad but until more companies *cough* UBISOFT AND EA, can start putting quality before their own wallets i don't think we will see very many great games. 

I run my own indie game company called Color Dragon Studios where we are currently making a 2d platformer game called Small Earth.

If by tactical you mean realistic go with Red Orchestra 2 or Insurgency.

 

But if tactical you mean using tactics, Counter-Strike rules the FPS genre for tactics.
