I'm sure many of you CS players also are frustrated but i was in Competitve and dad comes in later after like 10 minutes requesting me to reset the router because his wifi not working i told him i cant.. he set there 20 minutes annoying the crap out of me to get me to reset it .. so i did .. after that i could not connect back to CS GO i tried everything even reseting the game and all the steam programs in task manager .. so 7 day cooldown .. im done .. just gonna bet my crap to earn steam credits to buy real games...

Yeah it sucks, but you must have had some previous bans stacked

I tried playing CS:GO Competitive once, let's just say I somewhat flipped my table. Same story even when playing Casual. I'm really bad at CS:GO, that or I'm really unlucky and I always go up against hardcore pros.

You have to have had like 4 or 5 bans before getting a 7 day homie.

once you get 7 days it's always 7 days

Im under the impression that after your 7day is up if you dont get banned for a week it will drop back down to 24hour and so on but im not positive

That's not true. Each increment lasts for a week before it goes down. So if you receive a 7 day ban, your next ban will also be 7 days in the following week. But if you go a week without bans, you will be lowered a level to one bans.

Personally I've never had more than a 30 minute ban. People who disconnect for whatever reason, their fault or not, should be punished for being unreliable to other players. If you received a 7 day ban, then you've been unreliable three times before. You should know you're unreliable and you should fix it.

 

The only exception is if Steam servers go down and you cannot reconnect. But there is no reason for that to happen four times. I've gotten a 30 minute ban from this. It's kind of crappy, but if you're reliable it's not a big deal.

Were you on the wifi? I know I can reset my wireless connection without killing my connection on my router (my gaming PC is hard wired however).
