Custom sleeves Corsair RM ( What tools do I need?)

Antibull

Well I have never ever did a cable sleeving, but I want to try it. I want to make custom cables for my corsair RM 450W, I want to make them really short because I have a M-itx build.

So my questions are: Is it possible to sleeve a Corsair RM PSU. What tools do I need? Can you give me a web-shop to buy it (for in Europa). And I like it cheap :P

MDPC-X http://en.mdpc-x.com/mdpc-sleeve.htm

Check there for all the sleeves. All you need is sleeve, something to seal the ends in (heatshrink) and something to get the pins out of the modular connectors so you can sleeve the cables.

or check Corsair's website and buy their modular pre-sleeved cables ;)

Well the thing is that I want to make them shorter and don't want to use heat shrink xD I've found this video from jayz

Those are without heat shrink looks way better :P

I know what I need now, but don't know where to get it (not from lutro0 since it is expensive :<)

That site isn't working.

If you hide the heatshrink nicely it'll be perfect.

tbh you have a corsair PSU, browse Corsair's website and just pick up their reasonably priced Cable kits. They don't have heatshrinks, look amazing and are not stupidly expensive.

Those are all long cables sadly :< And I have enough free time to do it, but just need the tools but I don't know where to get it.

If you can get yourself onto MDPC-X's website go for it. It's based in germany (cheap shipping for you) and they have everything from the sleeve, heatshrins and the prong tools.

Just saw that. I'm out of places :P They've been the only ones I know for a while. Maybe the corsair ones are viable then :P
