Quietest Case Fans for £15-20 ($20-30)?

GM07

I have been looking at the Corsair AF120/140s as they aren't a bad price, but I was wondering what other suggestions people might have for this budget?

For that money I am super happy with my SP120 quiets from corsair, they are not "silent" but not THAT loud, though its possible you can get something quieter for your money

how many fans do you need? and where are you planning to place them?

Noctua makes excellent quiet fans. Otherwise Phanteks or deep silence fans

Aerocool DS Fan - 140mm or 120mm - White LED !!!

often a lot cheaper then Noctua and it have lights !!!

Pros:

  • almost silent.
  • both produce strong airflow.
  • coloured, with matched LED lighting.
  • various adapters included in box.

Cons:

  • None

They only gave 2 models. One without LED, and the other one with a Blue LED.

The fan is pretty much the Same except for the LED

is that £15 for both fans or each? if its each, get some noiseblocker blacksilent pros from overclockers.co.uk Absoulutly the best fans you are gonna get at around that price.

Yeah £15 each. I will have a look at the Noiseblocker fans, which one would you recommend looking at? There are quite a few types?

either these http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-053-NB or http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-027-NB

The E-loops are usually regarded as one of the best fans on the market (3 best being GT's, F12's and E-loops). However the blacksilent pros still pretty much destroy anything else at that price. They both undervolt very well and are amazingly quiet. I have the blacksilent pros and they really are amazing.

Noctua, be quiet!, and Bitfenix spectre pro fans have all been pretty quiet in my experience. I would go for Noctua though.

I was hoping to replace the two stock fans that came with the Corsair 300R, so that's one 140mm exhaust at the back and one 140mm intake at the front.

If you can stretch your budget a bit, A14's are very quiet at lower speeds: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/noctua-case-fan-nfa14pwm

Otherwise, save some money and get Vipers which don't lose much performance at lower speeds: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/akasa-case-fan-akfn063
