The beautiful art and more mature story themes compared to most games made Valkira Chronicals one of my favorite games of all time.

I wanted to play it before but didn't want a console. I guess I have to play it now.

I didn't play the second one, the change from adults dealing with a war to teens in military high school didn't interest me.

I've been meaning to watch a Let's Play of it but I keep forgetting.

Looks like it should be a decent port.

Already added it to my Steam account.

I'll update when it is released for impressions on how it looks and runs.

I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

Initial impressions after playing through the first mission:

No mouse input in most of the menus is annoying, you have to use WASD or arrow keys through most of the menus.

Confirm is Space bar, Enter does nothing from what I can tell.

Mouse input does work during the battle menus and having your character look around.

From what I can tell you can rebind pretty much any action to what ever key you want.

Visually is looks nice, though I wish there were some AA options.

I'll try forcing AA later via the Nvidia control panel and see what that does.

Plenty of resolution options to choose from.

People online have posted screen caps of 4k 120hz as an option.

Not a bad port but not great either.

Just got it, I was actually just thinking about buying a new PS3 this week just so that I could finish this game but then I saw it on steam and freaked out, I love this game.

This is the first game where I've had an issue with screen tearing on a 7970, so this is the first time I've opted for V-sync over input lag but because of the combat style in this game I think I'll be fine.
I don't need the best port in the world just as long as it still looks and feels like it did on PS3 and can be played with a controller then I am thoroughly happy.

Why do you always die right after I fix you?

AA won't work in cutscenes if that's what you're thinking, the reason is because it's FMV and was rendered at 720p, other than that though at 4K the game doesn't need any AA, it just looks stunning.

Aaaaaaand the input lag is too much, guess I have to deal with screen tearing.
