How much are you willing to spend on a computer?

joester050

Just wanted to see how much people are spending? I spent my life savings of $1100 on mine.

My current PC was around $1,800 I think.  I downgraded my old $4500 PC and sold those parts off to pay for this one as well as other parts of my setup. (Didn't need the watercooled 780 SLI 3930k rig, was a big waste of money I never should of spent lol)

I think my actual setup probably costs more than my PC now, I think my setup is around ~2k as well.

I should actually do the math to see how much my setup is without the pc...

Well, given the funds I would gladly spend 10+ grand on a pc.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

I built my rig in 2010 and have been upgrading ever since. I'd say it's probably around $2500.00 now. I just dropped $1200.00 on my home server build parts two days ago as well.

To do everything else I do on a PC (internet, typing, slides, math apps, science apps, etc): $400 Total

It really depends on how much money I currently have. My first (desktop) computer was only $600 since I didn't want to put too much of my money into something for entertainment. My next computer will probably be around $2000 though since I've been saving money waiting for Skylake to come out.

Willing? Nothing. I'm cheap

But i like pc gaming so i have to compromise. Wouldn't spend more than 4000 though. (And that includes monitors)

Last upgrade I made was 900€. Next one will be ~150€. The base of current build was 800€. So thats about it. That being said, next bigger upgrade I make 5 years from now will be 3k at least. With custom WC and maybe some case mods too. Custom paint job is must.

I try to spend however much it would take to build a decent gaming PC. The one I currently have cost me about $1600 when I bought it.

Something, something, something, famous quote, computer specs, and stuff...

25000 SEK (maybe the same computer would cost 2500$ in the US?) unless I had a lot of money.

My current build is about a €1200 with everything included, worked a part time job for almost 3 years besides my school now and that really paid off. I do want to go more crazy and spend about the double if i could, but that wouldn't be a smart thing right now.
