H240-x fits in bitfenix merc alpha and p9 x79 mb?

Should I take the risk and buy it? Getting a new case after that.

waste of your time and money for that tier level case and the proposed hardware going in it.

basically, you are buying a motherboard tray as everything else will need to be modified to fit.

no cable management, roof to low for rad support, and really not worth the effort. i tried the

same on a Corsair 200R and it was a bust. just enough to maybe make it work and finally just

not worth the effort.

but good luck if you do.

I already have this case and I am going to replace it, the hardware I have still fitted in so there was no need for a new case.

I want to buy an H440, S340 or a Corsair 760T, do you have any idea if the AOI will fit in one of those cases with the Asus p9 79x?

Get the Phanteks Enthoo Pro or Luxe

i have built a H440 with an ASUS RIVE and Tt Water Extreme 2.0 fits just fine

(has the thicker 38mm radiator). i have built the 750D (760T with added trim)

with H100i push/pull fans with no issues. the S340 will be a problem as the

roof is soo low that the VRM 'sinks of the mobo will prolly hit and cause issues.

Thank you for your answer. I've been looking at other cases and found the In Win 707:

Water cooling:

- Top 360mm Radiator Support

- Bottom 240mm Radiator Support

Thermal Solutions:

Air Cooling:-

- Front 140m X 2

- Rear 140mm Fan X 1

- Side 120 or 140mm Fan X 1

- Top 120mm X 3

- HDD Cage 120mm or 140mm X 1

Do you think it's somehow possible to fit 140mm fans on the top? And is it possible to fit the AOI on the bottom, where the case supports 140mm fans? Or should I buy the h220-x and add another radiator?

I personally like the looks of this case more than of the 760T and this case is cheaper than both the H440 and 760T.

since it isn't released yet (only see review snippets) and from the photos it is

a H440 the size of a 750D. not taking anything away from InWin, but they have

aesthetics, form and availability, but from the pix available, not much in the

gotta have water-cooling category.

best guess on "360 radiator" would be a 360x 30 in the roof (some image is

portraying 60mm, but the forgot fans), like the cooler master/nzxt cases of

dropping the HDD cages for the 240 in the floor/front panel is par for most.

almost any case is cheaper than the 760T, but one would have to really like

all the plastic cladding that the nzxt seems to have shed and that is why there

is a shift in excitement as most are not the plastical enthusiast.

so far in my search of a "best case" with no modifications of a mid-performance

case without monster money spent hasn't been released yet.

the 750D was a candidate, but the front intake was deffo a negative mark,

just millimeters from actual 60mm rad in the roof, but the runs are just too

long. the H440 was quaint, but was too small in the roof area (as most are)

for proper radiators. basically the "best case" will be 500mm x 500mm  to

house the proper radiators and fans to accommodate any motherboard.

if fractal will remaster the midi R2 with the roof like its smaller brother (mini R2)

that'll pretty much satisfy a large portion of the water-cooling crowd.

but till then, i'm still idle and looking for that "case"

Im a bit confused now. The H240x is 54mm thick including the fans, will it in the top of the H440?

In the H440 the 140mm fans actually fit in the top or in the front of the case, but I've got an gtx970 g1 gaming and it won't fit in that case unless I take some HD cages out.

If I'm going with the In win 707, I will need to buy an H220x and than add another radiator, but I need to do that anyways because I ultimately want to expand the waterloop to the gpu. An advantage is that it is a little bit bigger and cheaper.

Difficult choices..
