creating 3ds max linus tech models

hy, i am creating some 3ds max models of the linus tech media group. any one got some cool idee`s for the project.

I started whit the head of linus.

To created some rigged models to animate them i could use a bit of help or tips. could be a lot of fun to work on this.

 

i put a attachment of a pic on how far i am with the head of linus.

added ears and hear to th elinus 3ds max model head.   somehow its getting closer

it is more for me to practise maken humans in 3ds max. i am used to make ships and animations of ships in 3ds max.

day 4:   Worked on the eyes. i dont know linus`s eye colour (shitty not so good colours on my old hp monitor)   could somebody check it for me please?

gave linus a bit of a tan so he does look less like squidword. and corecting the eye sockets and hair position.

Don't worry i understand completely, i do crazy different things in 2D graphics all the time because i am so used to what i normally do

Day 5: today i made the uv maps to create the bitmap of linus`s his head. next step is to recreate the colours and facial hair on the bitmap file.

 

this is probebly harder than creating the 3d model.

day 6:    i totaly screwed up with the uv unwarp. linus looks now like a clown.

drawing in photoshop is harder than i expected   (used to autodesk sketchbook).

Day 8 i added a simple body for linus.   now maby he got a new name:      bobble clown linus head. and he is in a running position.

 

 

also pumped up the purple in the cape.

as a practise of making human models in 3ds max.  i have found its not for me. i should just keep it with products and environments. but i hope the people whom saw the screenshots i made think they were funny  and had a good laugh.

Or just ask Linus to take a lot of pictures of himself and use 123D Catch to make a 3D model...
