Hi, I was considering buying a Surface Pro 3 for steam in home streaming. In your opinion, which model should I get?

Have you taken a look at the Nvidia SHIELD Tab? Its rather nice imo. It delivers a better console experience than an Xbox lol

I have tried in home streaming a little and the i5 would be safe bet but the i3 might also do it, 100% guarantee the i5 can.

God I want a Shield Tab

I have 2, and their both fantastic. If your concerned about wireless speeds, you can pickup a Ethernet adapter from Monoprice for 14 dollars.

 

Ontopic: Just exploring other options here @OP, if you're using the tablet for productivity then go with the Surface, if you have a Nvidia Graphics card and want a console experience that you can carry around with ease, go for the SHIELD Tab
