Removing LED's from corsair sp 120 fans. Help.

I recently purchased some corsair sp 120 LED fans from Amazon, and I was wondering if there was anyone that knows how to remove the LED's since I do not like light emitted from them. The reason on why I purchased the LED's instead of the normal ones was that the fans were like ten dollars cheaper than the none LED's. Any help because I can not seem to find any. I have posted some pictures, and I think if I just snip the LED's and solder the ends together I should be fine. Not sure since I have no idea on what I am doing. This is not problem if I can not remove the LED's from the fan.

I wouldn't do it. You'll void your warranty by doing that.

Why didn't you just buy different fans?

You can cut the wire leading to the LED (from the picture, the one with the sleeve and numbers on it). But you'd be voiding warranty.
