Does anyone have data on hardware price/performance over the years?

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone had data on how the price and performance of computer hardware holds up over time?

I guess what I'm looking for is a chart or graph that has a timeline of all graphics cards (or cpu, ram, etc.)  , the specs, price on release and benchmarks.

With this data there could be a formula that can estimate the lifespan of your hardware, price performance over time, and more. I was hoping someone might have compiled this data and put something like that together.

That would be fun to do, but I'm lazy and do't want to hunt down specs, release dates, performance, etc.

Just out of curiosity, how would it, do you think?

Also, if we're measuring price to performance over the years, understand that this graph is going to be a monster, and I mean a MONSTER...

Give me a production year or a product to start from (say for instance the Intel 4004) and I'll get started.
