How in gods name do you change the color of icons in nova launcher with minimal ui?

minimalist
Go to solution Solved by dizmo,

That's what it is and they have black and white ones.  I just have no idea how to use them.

Long press on the icon, and an option should pop up to change what icon it uses. Then just go through the list. I imagine they're in there.

Is it a separate pack or are they all in one? You can set all the icons to the same pack in Nova's menu.

Mine are set to Glasklart as default, but I use Steampunk on my home pages. It's under Look and Feel.

Holy crap, I can not find how to do this.  Anyone know?  I have a Note 4

You can't.

You can submit apps to be done though the app. But thats it.

The background of apps that don't have icons cannot be changed or the icons that are done.

I figured it out. You were right on the long press.  I had tried that before but what I never tried was clicking the actual icon of what I wanted to change after the long press.  When I click that I'm shown all of my options from of icons.  Thanks man!  This learning curve is brutal.  iOS since the first iPhone to Android now aint easy.

Yeah it takes a bit especially when you start messing around with launchers and such. I find it's definitely worth it though. I love being able to customize it to what I want.

I was doing my main home screen and downloaded an app that allowed me to match it's color to my icon pack, as well as change the transparency of the am/pm logo so it wasn't as noticeable (I hate having things not centered), and the clock does 4 different things depending on what quadrant I tap. I don't think they'd have that on iOs (at least of old).

Yeah. I'm that OCD.

Did you get the Pro or regular version of Nova? I find the swipe gestures to be extremely useful.

If you want shadow/minimalistic like icons with a little more depth, check out the Glasklart icon pack. IIRC it's free, and I quite like it.

I got Nova Launcher Prime.  It was only a few bucks.  I actually feel like you're the one who told me about it a while ago and I added it to a list of things to download when I first got the phone.  I could be mistaken though.

So yeah, iOS has shit compared to android.  I've been dying to customize the way my phone looks and have widgets.  Switching to PC and Android has been quite a wise decision.  From Rainmeter to Nova Launcher...I'm a happy happy guy.

Downloaded the icon pack.  I like it.  I'm gonna give both a try over the next month.  Feel them out.  Thanks!

That technically counts as the icon rather than the color.

But. I did find the Black & White Minimal UI pack. I never noticed it before.

I've been perfectly happy with the Trebuchet launcher that comes with CyanogenMod, but did give Nova a try for awhile when some of the settings were broken and/or removed. I completely agree on having things centered, which is why i have my home screens on my Nexus 4 five icons wide. I do need to get myself an icon pack though. Which icon pack is the black and white one? That looks sick! Nice and clean!

Rainmeter's for the PC desktop? How do you find it? I quickly looked it up, looks kind of interesting.

Did you ever get that problem with the display waking with texts?

Also, how do you find the Note 4? I've started playing a game or two on my phone (more intensive ones) and I find it overheats and restarts from time to time. Have that problem at all?

Rainmeter is awesome.  If you click my build log link you'll see what I set up on my desktop. I love it.

Did you ever get that problem with the display waking with texts?

Yeah, it stopped doing it.  Someone showed the setting that needed to be changed in the other post.

Also, how do you find the Note 4? I've started playing a game or two on my phone (more intensive ones) and I find it overheats and restarts from time to time. Have that problem at all?

I absolutely love it.  I'm a bigger guy, 6'5, so the phone is a great size for me.  It feels great, just as good if not better than an iPhone, and the battery life on it is AMAZING.  I haven't played any games yet but if I experienced something like you mentioned when I do I'll let you know.

Minimal UI. There is limited Black and White versions of the Icons, but you can still have them.

They are mostly color. Though they do look nice then also.

Yeah I was able to find it. Looks like all of the better icon packs cost money, which is no big deal, but I don't think I'll buy a theme and/or icon pack until I get myself a new(er) phone.
