Normal for Vcore to be higher than VID?

In my BIOS I have voltage manually set to 1.245.

HWinfo reports VID as 1.246-1.247 but Vcore1, Vcore2, Vcore3, and Vcore4 are all maxed at 1.264 under load.

I'm having trouble finding any info on what it's supposed to be in relation to VID, I thought they were supposed to be the same.

This is with a 4690k and Z97-A

VID = stock voltage.

Once you change the voltage manually the stock voltage or VID values are overriden.

I'm aware that the VID becomes whatever I manually set the voltage to...

However Vcore1,2,3,4 don't seem to care, they stay at 1.264 whether or not my VID is at 1.240,1.245,1.250 etc.

Shouldn't the Vcore be the same as the VID, not higher? Or lower for that matter?
