Doing an upgrade...

Also when you install Windows disconnect all other drives. This will keep your data safe and Windows wont be tempted to stick the boot sector on another drive

Hey guys I'm new to the forum, but I have a question that I'd be grateful for an answer. I'm upgrading my motherboard and my CPU so I pretty much need to do a fresh windows install on my main drive (SSD). Now the thing is I have two secondary Hard Drives that are pretty much for games and recordings. Do I need to format those two drives before I set them up in my upgraded rig?

CPU: Core i7-3770  MB: GIGABYTE GA-B75M-D3H  RAM: 16GB DDR3 1333Mhz  Graphics: Sapphire Dual-X R9-280X (3GB)  Case: Rosewill Challenger  Storage: 240GB Kingston Hyper-X SSD / 480GB Mushkin Striker SSD / 500GB Seagate HDD / 2TB Seagate HDD  PSU: Antec HCP-750W Platinum  Keyboard: Tt eSPORTS POSEIDON Z  Mouse: Logitech MX 518                OS: Windows 7 64-bit

No, but when you want to play your games you will have to install steam/origin again and point them to those drives,
