Need a new PSU! Please Help

Go to solution Solved by ShabbirKAN,

If you don't plan on adding second one, get the Seasonic 550RM, else get the Evga 750W G2.

PLEASE DO NOT GET CORSAIR RM

AX series is fine

If you don't plan to add a second 780, then a 550W Rosewill Capstone or Seasonic G will be perfect.

Corsair RM Series are all Gold Rated

Corsair AX Series are all Platinum Rated

They both have 5 year warranties and a very speedy RMA with Corsair. I'd recommend about 600-700w for your computer, so that you have headway for overclocking and an extra card later ;) Use something like Coolermaster's PSU Calculator.

THANK YOU EVERYONE!! the Seasonic G-650 was on sale so i just grabbed that thank you for your advice!

hello people of LTT,

Recently i bought a new EVGA 780 classified and am in need of a new power supply. I have been looking around but not sure what company would be the best option and how much wattage. I was thinking around a 650 range.

My specs are : 2600k @ 3.4 ghz (will overclock to 4.4 later), ASUS p8z68-pro mobo, Cooler Master 212 evo, Samsung 840 pro 256GB, WD cavier Blue 1TB and of course the 780.

Does anyone have a recommendation. I prefer Gold rating for the PSU. I know seasonic is an awesome company but they are pricey. if anyone else knows a great company let me know. I also prefer a longer life span for the PSU so that in the future i wont have to change it.

Thanks,

SHABS
