Can I Run It

bossman111
Go to solution Solved by Aniallation,

With this laptop will I be able to run the latest games coming out as I have checked canyourunit.com and they have said that I would not be able to play new games like Shadow of Mordor and Assassins Creed Unity, however when I look at the min specs required to play it, they are rated lower than my pc.....

For Example Shadow of Mordor has a min pc requirement for cpu of i5 - 750 but says that my cpu which is an i7 4900qm cannot run it.

This is because those "can I run it" sites are based on desktop specs and don't have a database to compare them to the performance of mobile (laptop) parts. A 4900MQ absolutely smokes an i5 750. You will be able to run those games perfectly fine, maybe not with everything maxed out, but Crossfire 8970M is still a lot of power.

Hi There,

Okay so i just got  new computer last year.

It is a Sager Clevo with the following specs:

Windows 8

2 x CrossFire AMD 8970M Raedons

500GB SSD Samsung 840 Pro

Intel i7 4900 QM Quad Core @ 2.8GHz

With this laptop will I be able to run the latest games coming out as I have checked canyourunit.com and they have said that I would not be able to play new games like Shadow of Mordor and Assassins Creed Unity, however when I look at the min specs required to play it, they are rated lower than my pc.....

For Example Shadow of Mordor has a min pc requirement for cpu of i5 - 750 but says that my cpu which is an i7 4900qm cannot run it.

Am I missing something here?

Any advice will be much appreciated.

You can run it with High preset.
There's no official CFX profile yet for Shadow Of Mordor. You might need to disable one card or manually create profile for it and set CrossfireX mode as AFR.
