Best Headphones for maximum $150

vandanved

Hi everyone i want to buy a new headphones for listening music. I currently have Sennheiser HD 408 and i feel they have good sound.

I love hearing a good bass so as per my budget i have short listed 2 headphones

1. Audiotechnica ATH-M50

2. Senneiser HD 558

I have not heard either of them. Please suggest me the best headphones as i do like a good bass. Which of them will be the best for me?

i have both, the m50 are closed, so the guy to your side cannot hear your porn ;)  and are a bit bass heavy, not as much as say a pair of Beats but just a tad for those who like it. i find that the ear cups are shallow, this is mostly because i have bigger ears than Garreth Bale, you might not have that trouble. Oh and they are a bit tight, but thats why they have passive noise isolation

The HD 558 are much more comfy, and light, and are open style. they are not as bass heavy, i personally like that but thats just me. and the sound quality for me sounds better because they are open styly

I use the 558 for gaming, and music when i can at home and teh m50 when i go out, because they are closed

You shouldn't be spending for another headphone if you are already happy with your current one :/

So as per your experience i should go for the m50 ?? I think that your suggestion would be the best for me as you own both the headphones.

if you travel alot with your headphones, then yes go for the m50 (make sure they are the m50x that have detachable cable)

if you stay at home alot go 558

Well,my personal opinion then is the m50. I have it and the sound/comfort is outstanding. I don't like open style headphones so..yeah.

m50x if you are going to have them for traveling/transportation as well because the cord if the m50 is too much and it's a pain in the ass.

M50 has more bass and mare made so they do

558 are more for like studio because the bass does not overpower the other sounds (neither do the m50 so dont be scared)

Well actually my budget was $100 and i am barely able to extend it to $150 so another $50 is not possible for me.
