High TPF on GPU?

Go to solution Solved by tobben,

any estimate that early into a wu is utterly useless.. don't even bother checking until it's atleast a couple % into it.. tpf is essentially the time per 1%, and you still haven't done a single frame, so i wouldn't expect it to give you any accurate estimates when it has practically nothing to base it on.

we are usually very limited in how we can intervene. So always wait and let it sit to see if it sorts itself out before resorting to hasty actions like dumping wu's.

Any reason why the TPF is high for my GPU? It was around 4 minutes a few days ago.

I'd checked the Log to see if there are errors but there are none. Temps look fine(around the 60C range for GPU and CPU), CPU is working fine.

I have deleted the GPU slot and added a new one to see if that fixed the problem but it didn't.

System Specs if it helps

AMD FX-8320 @Stock Speeds

Using Stock Cooler

HyperX Fury 8GB 1600MHZ Ram

Asus M5A97 R2.0

Asus R9 270X-DC2T-2GD5  @Stock Speeds, it's only factory OC.

Corsair CX750M

The TPF is 2h Hours and 26 Minutes

I know that it depends on the work unit. For my gpu, it takes about 1.2 days to complete a work unit.

5 Hours later, everything seems okay.

TPF is 9 Minutes but every WU is different so times might be different.

Yes, every WU and every project so you can see some pretty drastic differences.
