Kraken G10 Compatibility

B1NARY

Hey guys,

I'd like to know if the kraken G10 is compatible with a GTX 780 DirectCU II. I already checked the NZXT website, and it said that it works with reference PCB but I guess that the Direct CU II design isn't reference.

So, any info on that ? I couldn't find anything...

Thanks in advance :)

It doesn't matter if the cooler is reference what matters is if Asus use the same pcb design as nvidia originally designed. ill google it

I don't think it does this is what it says on their website: "ASUS GeForce® GTX 780 DirectCU II graphics cards feature an ASUS-designed PCB"

The 780 DCU II uses a non-reference PCB.

I've checked with pictures of the PCBs :

Reference GTX 780 :

DirectCU II PCB :

I think that the center screw holes are at the same place, or am I wrong ?

EDIT : Found a forum post of someone with a G10  on a Asus GTX 780 Ti Direct CU II card, aren't the Ti and non Ti version the same ? Or at least regarding the screw holes location ?

You can use the G10 on this card.  Many people do it.  Check the OCN G10 Owner's Club if you want further assistance.
