best NAS under $150 DOES NOT INCLUDE THE HARD DRIVES

hi I am looking  to build a NAS for storing all of my moves, photos and all of that stuff. the things that I would like the NAS to do is run free NAS and be not too big and under $150 Australia, the $150 does not include the hard drives.

if you could help me put together a NAS thanks.

Well its not the best but you could try a Raspberry Pi + a powered usb hub

Ohhh, I'm curious to know how that would work! I've never given the raspberry pi much thought, but I have been thinking of making a home server / media pc type thing, and that seems like a delightfully cheap solution for it :)
