Great, just destroyed my 450D Side panel. What do I do?

Skcorpion86

Just as topic says. I took the side panel off to put in a PCI-E Wireless card and then before I put the panel back on I wanted to make sure it was working. Sat down in my computer chair then CRUNCH! Destroyed my side panel.

What's messed up is that I can't buy a new one from corsair's website, or ebay. What do I do????!!!!????! :(

Some people dont even use their side panels. Put it on ebay or craigslist for like $60/$70. If you'd give it up for $30 USD then PM me

Some people would probably pay money in order to have a broken side-panel.

It's art dude!

The clear panel part isn't shattered. It's just not attached to the black metal to well any more and the actual pannel won't lock into place because it's really bent up. Also, I can't screw in one of the thumb screws because that got bent to.

Either use it without a side panel or contact Corsair for a replacement

Have you tried masking off the sidepanel area with duct tape?

Alternatively go down to a hardware store and ask them to make it flat again.

You should take a pic of this busted up side panel so that we can all see just how bent it is.

Sell that sh*t and get an air 540? Or flip it over and sit on it from the other direction with equal force

I contacted Corsair, I'll wait till monday and see what they say. I hope thew will just let me buy a new side panel by itself. If no I will have to buy an entire new case, the put the side panel from the new case onto the one my system is built in, then just resale the brand new case without a side panel, or with broken one.

They should be able to send you a new one, seeing as they don't sell spare panels for that model.
