chrome using more than 90% cpu power

i got a notification from nzxt cam that chrome was using more than 90 percent of my cpu processing power. is that normal?

CPU- i7 5960x MOTHERBOARD- Asus Rampage V extreme RAM- 32gb Corsair Dominator Platinum ddr4 2800mhz GPU-  2X EVGA GTX 980 SC in SLI PSU- Corsair ax860 CASE- Corsair Obsidian 750d COOLING- EK cpu+dual gpu custom loop (ek supremacy evo, dual gtx 980 copper/acetal waterblocks) MOUSE- Logitech g502 proteus core KEYBOARD- Ducky shine 3 cherry mx blue switches and blue LED MONITOR- Samsung u28d590d UHD  STORAGE -  120 gb samsung 850 evo ssd, 960 gb ocz trion ssd OS- Windows 10 pro http://pcpartpicker.com/p/jtP8GX

but whenever i check task manager's resource manager, i see 3-15 percent usage

NZXT CAM is still rather new and I'd guess it's probably a bug waiting to be fixed.

NZXT CAM is a broken piece of software, it's just how it is.

CAM is terrible with CPU monitoring. When I installed it, it started complaining that a program was being a CPU hog. What program? Itself. 

 

Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> NZXT CAM -> Uninstall

Solution: don't use CAM.

it actually is quite a bit of a CPU hog, some people get lags spikes caused by CAM.

well then dont believe anything it tells you :)

also dont leave it running in the background (if possible) cause it hurts your computer's performance
