I had the same case with my z77. Angle and slide it in. Post wish stop anything. It actually helps it stay lined up.

so I am building a PC and the mobo is a asus h97 plus and the holes don't line up up with the case because the central post is theye.

I don't see how that post stopes it. You sure you're doing it right?

I slided and put the post in the hole, it works perfectly
