Help with picking a case!

OblivionX51

Hello everyone,

I'm looking at building my first computer. The case that I have been really interested in is the nzxt h440. The issue is that I'm looking at the Rampage v extreme mobo which is An eATX. I have seen plenty of builds that fit it in there but I'm worried about space. I also intend to have a kraken x61 for the CPU and a g10 with an x41 on a 980. I don't know of many alternatives that compare to the h440 so I would appreciate any info or opinions on the matter!

(This is also my first post so if I'm in the wrong place or messing up forum rules please inform me as well)

The Corsair Air 540 is pretty good for a first build if you're worried about cable management. It's pretty difficult to do it badly in that case. It also fits a Rampage anything Extreme pretty easily.

Thanks for the quick responses! It's not cable management I'm worried about, it's more just space for both radiators, and the eATX mobo. That being said I prefer towers to cube cases. The enthoo pro looks promising, just trying to see all my options

This, 1000 times this. You can fit a 360mm rad in the front. 280 rad in the top, 140 in the back. Hell you could even fit a 360 rad in the bottom under the gpu with a little modification.

Ketchup is better than mustard.

GUI is better than Command Line Interface.

Yeah the builds I've seen people do in this case are mental. It's ridiculously open to whatever you want to do with it.

This case actually looks very promising on further investigation. purely for aesthetics im kinda hooked on nzxt cases so what are the opinions on the phantom 530 or switch 810?

If you like the pro, the Enthoo Luxe is also good. It's got the same internals as the Pro, but has pimpin' aesthetics.

for first build make sure you pick your case not based on price but base on whether you can live with what it looks like. trust me on this bro. so many times I've regretted on buying a case because of price.

example would be.

tj11 I bought it cause it's expensive. I regretted buying it cause back then I didn't have enough hardware worthy of being put inside that chassis. it was such a sexy looking and good chassis that blew away whatever I put inside it due to them not worthy enough.

enthoo luxe/pro. should be fine the 750D is also good and so is the 900D.

caselabs case are very very good. and so are lian li

but I'm eye catching the air 540 too not sure if it fit your motherboard as I don't have personal experience with that case.

Thermaltake Level 10 GT is a decent case only if it was priced at 40-60$ pretty much overall good enough case but sadly overpriced.

Live your life like a dream.

Wow I'm liking that exterior lighting. And thanks Joshua I was mostly going for looks. I'm putting some good parts in there cause I don't want what I build to be completely outdated in a few months, but in the end I have to stare at the thing. That's mostly why I've been so into nzxt cause they have some very clean very good looking cases but that's why I wanted outside opinions to expand my horizon

So many good choices, the air 540 and Enthoo pro are great options...or you can be crazy like me and plan to cram an e-atx board with full W/C loop in an S340 :)
