It's funny how there are r9 290s in the same price range as 770s and 280xs now. That's just going by American rates.

Those 970 deals look worth the extra quid.

Great minds thinking alike here ;)

Here's an EVGA, it's not super clocked or anything but £262, stock is expected next friday:

I think it's the same as the one that's overdue from scan at £275, but ebuyers is £10 cheaper.

one of my cards is a galaxy card, and it's been pretty good. No real issues, but I still prefer evga.

What is your current GPU?

A very solid GPU manufacturer that is overlooked quite often. I had a Zotac card before, it was really nice. Had a nice build quality, was appealing, overclocked well, was pretty quiet too.

Can the face plate come off on a zotac without needing to remove every thing to Gpu itself?

Xfx 7870 black edition

If there's nothing wrong with it I'd stick with what you already have. You would wanna get a 970 for about 2x the performance to make it worth your while. A 7870 should be worth at least $100-130 used if you were to sell it, but don't expect that from a store trade in.
