Choices

I currently have the setup in my sig but this doesnt leave room for crossfire/SLI and CPU overclocking (byebye i5 4690k :( ). Would you guys change the mobo and cpu out for crossfire potential? Or would you sit on this rig till it explodes or something? xD

Your advice is greatly appreciated :)

I Wouldn't actually go with either option in the poll. I would just upgrade the CPU and mobo, as the GPU is a beast as it stands, then later on get the best SINGLE GPU there is.

Right now I don't see you benefiting much from a GPU upgrade at all, I don't see you benefiting much from any upgrade in fact. Even the CPU mobo thing I would only upgrade because it is also an option.

If there is one choice that makes sense then it would be to save your money, upgrade your entire PC at once when you can afford it.

Spoiler

Case Bitfenix Ghost, Mobo Asus Maximus VIII Ranger, CPU i7 6700K @4.2 Ghz cooled by Arctic cooling Freezer i30, (barely). GPU Nvidia GTX 970 Gigabyte G1 @1519Mhz core, RAM 16Gb Crucial Ballistix CL16 @2400Mhz. SSD 128GB Sandisk Ultra Plus as my OS drive. HDD's  1TB  Seagate ST31000524AS its OEM, 3TB Seagate Barracuda, 2x 500GB WDC Blue (RAID 0)

If it isn't working absolutely perfectly, according to all your assumptions, it is broken.

That GPU is a beast, why would you need another one?

Upgrade the mobo and the CPU, and leave the GPU alone ;)

One stronger GPU is always better than SLI/Crossfiring weaker ones.

i know D: but crossfiring seems to be cheaper compared to a stronger GPU

Your rig is plenty strong, no reason to upgrade anything. Just wait a few years until a better GPU is released.
