Mini itx build log

pcphreak

I have decided to build a mini itx computer to replace my dell xps 8700. I have already ordered the parts and they are arriving tomorrow,  although I will take suggestions for a portable case that I can take as a carry on. The reason I decided to stay away from water cooling is because I will be taking this on plane rides. This is the parts list for the computer:

i7 4790k

ASUS Maximus VII impact z97

Corsair veangance pro 16gb 1866mhz

Corsair AX860i

Samsung 850 pro 512gb

zotac GTX 980

corsair 250d

Would love to hear your thoughts on my build!

If you are traveling with it look at the corsair 380t. It has a really nice large handle that makes it easy to take around

  • 1 month later...

Sorry for the long wait. Finally finished it.  I built it very hastily, and didn't post on here because I was too busy, but now that i have got time, I rebuilt the computer, and without further wait, here are pics of the finished computer!

very nice,

are going to upgrade the cpu cooler at some point?

an h100i would fit nicely in there.

I might upgrade the cpu cooler at some point, but right now I just want to use it. I might put a h100i in one of my bigger machines though. Thanks for the suggestion.
