Random Access Points?

SweetGenius1345

Hello guys, I am a malware "expert" who actually knows how to diagnose many malware issues with computers; but every once in a while, even a professional needs some help. Whenever I search for access points, I know what access points show up and what I can connect to. But as of today, 5 new access points have shown up that have very suspicious names: "pimpshizz" "5555555nbkddsl" and "tttyylll" are some of the new access points that have appeared. I am not sure if these are just people changing their access point names or not, but I want to know what do you guys think? If you think its suspicious, let me know what I can do; I know a lot about malware, but I don't know everything.

Thanks for all your suggestions!

Most people dont know what they are doing when they set up a wireless network, so they see a "required" field... and they put random stuff there.

I'd think its just asshole troll kids.

You could always just do a full scan with malwarebytes anti-malware if you think its from a virus.

Do these additional AP's show up  on multiple devices, including your mobile phone? If so, then yeah, just some random asshats naming their SSID something weird, or at worst, drive-by hackers (Though that's pretty damn rare in real life).
