AC: Unity PC requirements

This just in:

I guess we can expect another train wreck a la Watch Dogs.

Seriously, wtf ubisoft.  This makes me fear the worst for Far Cry 4.

I was expecting minimum 32GB VRAM in requirements. I'm really disappointed...

so, from the processor list, it appears to use 4 FPUs, as that is the only trait those three share.

6 GB of ram? I will be disappointed if it's artificial, as I have 8 gigs available.

they're saying 2GB Vram & a 7870/680.

while I've only got a 7870XT, my custom cooling setup gets the core to nearly 1350, and that is near 7970 performance from what I have found.

So I'm basically the minimum specs. xD

Ubisoft needs to die, a terrible death. And get buried in the hole they have spent the last year digging. Just sayin.

It's strange to see a game require double the horsepower of consoles on the GPU front to run on minimum settings on the PC. Either the requirements are inaccurate or they didn't even bother optimizing. My money is on the latter. I remember them saying a few years back that they don't spend much time optimizing for PC because PC gamers can always just get a better GPU. Yep, that's Ubisoft for you.

Potatoes? Potatoes! Potatoes.

The worst part is that there is a section of the PC gaming community which believes that games like this are good because they think it's "pushing the industry forward" and "pushing our hardware to it's limits" etc...

I think ubisoft should just abondon the PC market instead of insulting us constantly. its obvious they don't care about us anymore.

its ludicrous to think the minimum requirements for this game to run at 30fps are the same able to max out Bf4 at around 70fps. I for one don't see a leap in graphical performance.

looking at steams yearly specs questionnaire results like 20-30% (at a guess) have a GPU equivalent or better than a gtx680. basically a last gen mid to upper tear card (770) is minimum...

Just look at a game like shadow of mordor. It looks amazing and runs great on a wide range of hardware. There is no excuse of ubisoft to do shit like this

CPU -AMD R5 2600X @ 4.15 GHz / RAM - 2x8Gb GSkill Ripjaws 3000 MHz/ MB- Asus Crosshair VII Hero X470/  GPU- MSI Gaming X GTX 1080/ CPU Cooler - Be Quiet! Ubisoft is making a dumb mistake.  First they decide to limit the frame rate to 30 fps and resolution to 900p.  Now they tell us that they basically did nothing to optimize this game for PCs.  We should all petition Ubisoft to rethink their actions: https://www.change.org/p/ubisoft-stop-limiting-pc-performance-to-make-consoles-look-better.

WOW! this is just bullshit, first they keep trying to make the consoles look on par with PC by kneecapping us (Watchdogs anyone?)! Then they have the nerve to go and say these are their minimum for unity (which can play on the PS4/Xbox one) when games that look WAY better like Alien: isolation don't require these specs for recommended, that is just fucking bullshit... if you are just going to kiss microsofts, and sony's ass, then don't even bother coming to PC! We would happily not buy your games, and take those pre-order of your's and stick up where the sun don't shine!

They could at the least hire a group good enough to port the game over to PC properly because now this is getting to be silly. At this point they just need to go bankrupt

If this game had graphics like when Crysis 2 and Witcher 2 came out then I would not complain about the ridiculous requirements but seeing those gameplay videos clearly doesn't justify this.

"Graphics and gameplay are not mutually exclusive."

"Nvidia, AMD, Intel, or whatever company out there has only one end goal and that is PROFIT.

If you think these companies exist for any other reason you're gonna be disappointed my dear. CAVEAT EMPTOR"

This is LTT. One cannot force "style over substance" values & agenda on people that actually aren't afraid to pop the lid off their electronic devices, which happens to be the most common denominator of this community. Rather than take shots at this community in every post, why not seek out like-minded individuals elsewhere?
