400 euros gaming PC

Lenor
Go to solution Solved by Demons Wrath,

I really can't go higher than 400 because I'll also need a monitor witch will be another hundred.

I'm a noob when it comes to fans and cable management:)), thanks for the tips.

I really wanna get the 212 evo but it just doesn't fit into my budget, I will definitely get it at a later date though.

I need to dig trough those sites, thanks for the work.

Anything about the VTX3D r9 280 or about that cheap HDD?

I haven't heard anything bad about the VTX3D, which is as good as an endorsement I suppose. That HDD, whilst cheap, is still very small...but it's WD so it should be ok.

Changed the Mobo because it has usb3 front headers for the case. Offset that increase in price by choosing cheaper RAM.

I just couldn't find it on pcpartpicker.

CPU+MOBO cheap overclocking.

Reliable ram.

Very cheap r9 280.

Decent case for the price.

Reliable power supply.

Why is the r9 280 from VTX3D so much cheaper than other manufacturers?

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I do know it's good but I'm asking specifically about the VTX3D implementation of it, I couldn't find a review about it.

I can get another one at a later date, I didn't want to go with 8gb right away and get a lower end GPU.

The z97 is more than twice the price of the h81, not going to buy a MOBO that is more expensive than the processor.

What's wrong with the h81?

If I get a cooler or/and an extra 4GB of ram I'll need to get a less powerful GPU, I can always get those at a later date.

I chose the 550w PSU because I want to do some overclocking and the price difference wasn't that much.

I'll overclock the processor but not to 4.7 because I won't get a cooler right away, it will force me to get a cheaper GPU.

I know the HDD might suck witch is why i asked for a review on it but at that price who cares, I can get a seagate barracuda if that fails.

@Lenor I tweaked some things and brought the price up to €500. I think it would be worth it for the extra components you get for it.

Grab some fan splitter cables for the extra fans, the mobo only has 1 system fan header, and the case comes with 2. So you're going to have to find a cable that can accommodate them, or else get some molex converters. You got plenty of sites there to trawl through to find great deals.

Yeah, you're right, a few extra euros for 3.0 headers is not a bad idea.

I'll keep the fury series ram though, 7 euros extra is acceptable.

Yes you can. A bios update will remedy that particular problem.

So I just noticed that the cheap HDD had a delivery cost of 25 euros, are you mad?

I checked the other components too and the only one that has a delivery cost is the PSU but only 7 euros.

i tried to fit the new build into the 400 euros but I had to get a cheaper power supply, cheaper ram and a lower end GPU.

What I decided to do instead is to bump the budget up to 450 and this is what I got:

CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 3.2GHz Dual-Core Processor  (€61.28 @ Amazon Italia)
Motherboard: ASRock H81M-HDS Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  (€47.67 @ Amazon Italia)

Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case  (€36.14 @ Amazon Italia)
Total: €446.68

Thanks to everyone for your help.
