Im going to build my own pc with intel core i7 4790 non k. What motherboard and ram should i buy for a budget build?

What's your budget exactly? And primary purpose.

 

Budget just means you have a set amount to spend.

 

If you mean cheap... you should probably not be looking at an i7

You really should get the K version,it's clocked at a way higher stock frequency.

if you want to go cheap then look at the i5 series i have one and would love to give that cpu a proper home, i can though any thing at that it does it without thinking about it

Ask for the whole PC...
