[SUGGESTIONS] - I need a new laptop!

Sbu051995

Hey guys, for starters thanks for reading.

As the title suggests i'm searching a new viable notebook.

But I don't have any experience regarding shopping for a laptop...

The main reason is that I'm upgrading, you may need to hold yourself in place for this,

from an Asus X70Sr with a core2duo t7500 and an ATI HD2400...

It has so many hacks that it's not realy portable any more...

So I need a notebook, preferebly 17" because i don't have a very good sight but if it needs to be 15.6" it's ok,

that has strong battery life since I will be using it at University where we don't have power plugs...

with an SSD, resonably good looking, and able to play at good settings GTA IV and GTA V when it comes out without exploding...

My budget is around 1150€ or 1500usd...

I hope someone can help me...

Any of the lenovo Y series or any of MSIs laptops would be excellent choices.

Thanks for the answers!

Well I had the feeling that i should have gone with a lenovo and I was looking at the y70-70... I realy like it but now that I think about it I don't know If it's a good choice because we have quite narrow tables at school.... So maybe the y50 was better... As for the Asus one I'm not very pleased by that silver-ish color and the keys are quite small... As for MSI what do you suggest?

The Asus G751 might be quite good for you, it's on the higher end of your price range though. The cheapest version is 1500 USD and it doesn't come with an ssd, so buying your own M.2 ssd would be 100-200 USD above your price range

I'm from Italy... Here prices are trough the roof... For the g750jz from asus they are asking 1400€ or 1800usd at the very least on special promo!!

I was looking at that Lenovo Y50 1080p (not the UHD version that Linus reviewd a while back) with the gtx 860m. I can have it for around 1200usd and with a sata3 ssd i would be around the 1300/1350usd mark witch is totally good for me.. Do you think is wise choice?? Thanks to everyone for the replies!! :)
