Will DSR work on higher native res monitors than 1080p?

officiallyasimulator

Hey guys, i was wondering if Nvidias new DSR tech will work on a monitor that has a 2160x1440 native res or will i have to set the res to 1080p for it to work? also, i will 2 gigabyte 980s be enough to handle the 4K res at pretty high settings, with a bit of AA? i think they should be, since they handle 2160x1440 pretty easily.

The point of DSR to increase the native res therefore making things look pretty

So, yes. I don't see why it wouldn't work.

Also, at 4K You might not even need AA. Personal Preference though

As for the power you have I think you should be able to get some decent frames and settings if you tinker with it just right

Yeah it should, it works on my 2560x1440 monitor. But since I'm already running above 1080 the only resolution I can use in DSR is 4K.

DSR in no way increases resolution as this is physically impossible.

attempting to disable sli, through nvidia control panel didnt work, so i think i will have to physically take out the sli bridge, or try setting sli off then turning of the pc, since setting it and restarting it didnt work.

I would post a screenshot of what DSR looks like up to 5K or so but the screenshot is about 20 Mb and I can post only 2 Mb picture maximum.

Upload the 20 meg to a hosting site that allows it and then just post a link (do not embed).
