Do you think a Nvidia gtx 980 will be powerful enough to max out Batman Arkham Knight with Nvidia PhysX set on highest?

Also, will this graphics card be future proof? I will be playing at 1920x1200 resolution when game is released in June. I was thinking I probably should wait for a gtx 985 ti or a gtx 990(Titan x) when they are released probably in 2015 some time. Are you willing to bet that a gtx 980 a currently 550-600 dollar gpu will be able to play batman arkham knight at 60fps, v-sync on, and have PhysX at the highest settings? My intel processor is an i5 4670k @ 3.4ghz with 4 gigs of ddr3 ram. I am currently on a gtx 760 and am not happy about the performance I am getting in recent games. I am stuck at medium settings and with a bunch of settings shut off in newer games despite this card only being a year and half old. I know it's a budget card and I made a mistake getting it but a year and half ago I was maxing majority of games out at playable frame-rates.

Rehashed? It's going to have a bigger more open world where you can drive the bat-mobile and possibly many other iconic batman vehicles and aircrafts. It seems like they are improving the gameplay as well as the graphics too. The game is only being released for pc, xbox one, and ps4. That means the older consoles won't hold it back.

They have allot of work to do then. I play Arkam Asylum literally drunk with my eyes closed and button mashing and still I killed all the bad guys. The game sucked IMHO and was not fun at all.

I could probably beat most games now days drunk or high tho I don't drink or get high. You act as if the games now days are original Nintendo hard. They've made the games much easier so almost everyone can pick up a controller and beat the games. I'm actually happy that most games are easy now days cuz I own a ton of original nintendo games that i have never beaten because of the unreal difficulty in them.

I am still stuck to this day on a boss fight in Deus X Human Revolution. I try from time to time to beat that bitch but i never can. I hate looking up cheats and spoilers so ya. I like difficulty like back in the days in Zelda A Link To The Past.

Your 4GB RAM is a bottleneck for todays games. I have a GTX 560 but I'm running games pretty fine.

I'd upgrade that RAM first to 8GB before the 980.

a 980 should Ace it. Nobody can say for sure because there are Sometimes badly optimized games which get released. E.g. Watchdogs.

Since You already have a 760 Maybe You should upgrade your ram now and buy the VGA once AMD releases their new gen. Because the most likely scenario is that AMD will release a faster card and nvidia will drop prices on the 980 and release a Fully unlocked Maxwell 980ti.
