Power Cut now PC won't boot into windows but turns on

EllieTheFuzzy

okay so my computer suffered a power cut :(, and when i try to turn it back on it loads upto the POST screen (aka the GIGABYTE - INSIST ON DURABLE (forgot) ) then it just stays there, or at start up i can put it to BIOS, but it wont boot into any of the hard drives, or when i try put a flash stick in with windows on it it'll ethier do the same or ask for a bootable media.

Motherboard: GIGABYTE X79 UD3

PSU: EVGA Supernova G2 850W

Yeah, try taking out the cmos battery for 1-3 hrs and than put it back in and retry. CMOS battery is usually the circular silver thing on your motherboard. Its probably on the map in your manual.

Next step:

Install a UPS.

You'll thank yourself for it at some point, believe me.
