Crashing while Ocing

Demozwolf
Go to solution Solved by Bhav,

Welcome to overclocking. You're doing it wrong.

Get 3D mark and loop firestrike to check for artifacts / stability.

Also increase the voltage on your GPU in afterburner to +87mV.

Hello guys so I went from a 560 to 970 and know when I overclock it starts to crash the drivers any help would be appreciated

Thank you

You're trying to exceed the point at which your card is stable, increase the voltage if you haven't already and if you can't increase it anymore then you've hit your cards OC limit.

You are pushing the card beyond the stable limits. Increase voltage more if you can, but if the voltage slider is maxed, you need to back off the overclock a little.

I basicly over clock it 1400 core clock with 7500 memory

When I play games at those setting for half an hour then the card crashes

You hit the wall. Back down clocks by 10 mhz core and 25 memory until stable bro.
