Default Adaptive mode is FRUSTRATING!

Hey guys,

 

I'm starting to pull out what little hair I have left.

 

I know that my 4790k is stable on manual mode of 4.7Ghz at 1.255v

 

Trying to move to adaptive mode now but when I put settings to reach 1.255v MAX I voltage actually SPIKING to 1.35 if not more

 

I have it set on positive

and sometimes is says voltage controlled by CPU in the bios

 

Using Asus Z97-A

 

So I edited the settings to limit the max voltage by going REALLY down on the figures and now it goes up to 1.265 max
