New to high-end PC gaming, have some questions.

So I've decided to invest in a system to do some serious PC gaming on and I went with one with the following specifications from Digital Storm since I don't have the inclination or ability to put one together myself.

CPU - i7 4790k

MOBO - Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2

PSU - 850W EVGA SuperNOVA

RAM - Corsair Vegeance Pro 1866mhz 16gb

GPU - 2x SLI GTX 980 4gb

SSD - 256gb Samsung 850 pro

Storage - Seagate 2tb

I was looking for any input from you guys on how I can get the most out of this new gaming PC as far as overclocking and PC settings. Feel free to leave any comments. Thanks.

The build looks good. Digitalstorm is the best custom-PC system builder. Obviously expensive, but they do a great job at building, testing, and validation.

I think NCIX can assemble your pc with a small fee right? Some of the parts on your build can be better; like getting a crucial mx100 and getting a vsm750

I actually did get a water cooling option for the CPU and I keep my room at about 65-70 degrees F all year round. Should that be low enough?

But building it yourself is half the fun D:

Yeah it's more than enough. Are you sure you don't want to build it yourself? It's a very good learning experience since all of what you need to do is already in the internet, youtube, linustechtips :D

As much as I'm sure I would learn from doing it (and I know it would save me a fair bit of money) I just have big ham hands and every time I've had to tinker around inside my old PCs before I've been on the verge of a panic attack the entire time so that's why I'm going with a custom built one.

As far as overclocking goes for the GPU, the best thing you could do imo is to just start overclocking the card little by little until you start having issues with graphics in games or issues in general, then just turn it back down a bit. Just keep an eye on the thermals too :)

Correct me if on wrong :)
