Landline Phone creates 5ghz Interference?

So whenever someone uses the landline, my internet drops. A LOT! I cannot access anything and the wireless is pretty much ruined till the call is over. 

At first I thought it was our phone service (internet based phone) and looked into it. After doing some research I realized that it wasnt causing the issue.

 

Just now I went to my routers clients page. My SHIELD and PC are the only ones on the 5Ghz Network. When I looked at the signal strengths for all devices, I saw that every device but my Shield and Pc had 5 bars. My Shield and PC only had 2. My connection speed was only 80mbps unlike the usual 400 it displays. (during this time, the phone was in use)

After I switched my PC to the 2.4Ghz network, it works just fine!

 

I looked at the phone and realized that it says "5ghz" on it.

Is it causing interference when in a call?

What can I do to fix it?

Also, I do need the 5Ghz band for streaming, just in case someone suggests using 2.4 the while time

 

TL;DR some random tennager's wireless lags every time the phone rings because the 5Ghz band has an issue when the phone is in use. But please read it ;P ^

use a corded phone, maybe move the cordless base if you can.

Change the two channels your 5ghz network uses.

your cordless phone may have a switch on the base or behind the battery to switch from 5 Ghz to 2.4 Ghz.
Try that. If nothing, you are SOL until you get a new phone.
