AMD Athlon 860K - AMD FX 6300 - AMD FX 8350

So i'm making my final build decisions but again still stuck on the cpu..

I still doing a 3 - way crossfire 7950 setup so keep that in mind.

Each cpu effects the build for the final decision.

There are Pros & Cons to each one & Trade off's to each one.

I want to be able to run games at 1080p @ 60 Fps for now until I eventually upgrade to 3 way monitor surround.

But my main concern is the cpu at the end.

Thanks for all the help!

I really do appreciate it!

Well these are the parts I have already.

Have : Case , PSU , Hard Drive , OS

Missing : Motherboard , CPU , Memory & Cooler

$400 is whats left in the budget.

3 way Xfire... you need an Intel processor.  At least an i5 otherwise you won't be able to properly feed 3 cards. I think you should scrap the 3 way Xfire idea.  Go with 2 cards and an Intel i5.

You've got options then. You can go this route.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($194.98 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G55 SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($116.53 @ Amazon)
Total: $380.50
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Or this route

CPU: AMD FX-8320 3.5GHz 8-Core Processor  ($139.98 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD5 ATX AM3+ Motherboard  ($156.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $410.95

Drop down to the UD3 and the AMD combo goes under the $400 budget. I would suggest the Intel combo for the best performance, but the 8320 can be overclocked to meet the i5 in terms of most gaming performance. It will produce a good amount of heat and power though.

and every other amd solution = instant bottleneck so...

just get an i5, investing in an amd platform doesn't make sense right now

even less sense with 3 gpus

Overall, it is up to you. Do you feel the extra cores will benefit you or will you mostly be gaming?

In 6 months, when you realize you made a mistake, you remember everyone who told you to go Intel.
