Depends on the movies' quality etc.

Can you be more specific? If you 'buy' *ahem* a 700MB movie, you can do the math yourself

Then again, movies can range generally from 10GB - 3GB

Yeah, but nobody will store that. And 1080p doesn't look like 'ass'

I will. It's not bad, a hundred movies, 2-3TBs.

I didn't say 1080p looked bad, but the low bitrate to achieve a 2GB file is too damn low man.

1080p is a resolution not a bitrate, and not indicative of quality

That's because you're used to watching them. I promise you, go watch a blu-ray, you'll want to keep watching them.

Either way, 20GB is a lot for a movie.

On how big of a screen do you watch movies? Cause I promise you, if you're gonna blow up an image to a 120" projector screen then you'll wanna have the highest bitrate you can get.

No doubt, but I don't watch a lot of movies. If I do, it's on my 1080p monitor or TV.

A 5TB drive equals to roughly 4.700MB and BD movies can eat up to 40GB each. You do the math. :)

Read these:

The short term investment in a very good home cinema (and cheap snacks) makes far more sense than the long term investment in going to the cinema regularly. Plus the choice of media is exponentially higher.

So how many jackets will fit in my hallway closet?

Figure everyone is asking such size type questions why not add them all here.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.
